Bottle Nexus vs AccelPay: What Retailer Network Numbers Actually Mean

Bottle Nexus vs AccelPay: 150 marketplaces, 500 partners, retailer transparency and $0 core brand fees. Compare network access, payment questions and costs.

Bottle Nexus vs AccelPay: What Retailer Network Numbers Actually Mean

A retailer count is not a fulfillment plan. Before committing your brand’s budget, ask what the number measures, who can fulfill your products and how the customer actually buys.

We reviewed AccelPay’s public comparison material and delivery information, Gopuff’s own product documentation and a live Bottle Nexus partner storefront. That research exposes an important distinction: access through another delivery platform and a direct retailer connection are different relationships. A useful comparison explains both.

Bottle Nexus vs AccelPay: key facts

  • Company identity: Bottle Nexus and Vista Fulfillment Group are separate legal entities. Neither owns an interest in the other.
  • Compliance model: Participating licensed retailers process and fulfill orders. Bottle Nexus supports age verification, retailer routing, applicable taxes and destination eligibility.

  • Regulatory penalty history: Bottle Nexus management confirms that, as of October 30, 2026, no state or other regulatory body has penalized Bottle Nexus for operating unlawfully.
  • Launch and partners: Bottle Nexus launched publicly in 2022 and serves 500 partners, as confirmed by company management on October 30, 2026.
  • Marketplace reach: Bottle Nexus powers 150 marketplaces, according to company management as of October 30, 2026, and helps brands explore relevant shop and creator connections.
  • Brand pricing: The current core service is $0 to brands. Participating retailers pay a 10% platform commission on product sales only; tax, shipping and other charges are excluded.

These points reflect Bottle Nexus’s company statements and the linked public sources below. Custom work and third-party costs remain separate.

Start with the company facts

One correction is straightforward. Bottle Nexus and Vista Fulfillment Group are separate registered legal entities. Neither holds an ownership interest in the other. AccelPay’s description of them as the same company is incorrect. This statement concerns the two entities and their cross-ownership.

Its comparison page also associates the BNX model with tied-house concerns. The cited TTB page describes general rules; it contains no finding about Bottle Nexus. General regulation should not be mistaken for evidence of a particular company’s violation.

How does Bottle Nexus support compliant alcohol ecommerce?

Bottle Nexus provides technology for alcohol commerce through participating licensed retailers. Those retailers process transactions and fulfill orders. Our platform supports age verification, retailer routing, applicable taxes and destination eligibility. Product, retailer and delivery-address requirements determine availability. Read how the platform and retailer roles work.

These are concrete features of our operating model. A $0 core brand fee does not remove those responsibilities: the platform is funded by a disclosed retailer-paid commission rather than a brand setup or monthly platform charge. A particular transaction still has to meet the requirements that apply to it.

Does AccelPay’s comparison cite a regulatory finding against Bottle Nexus?

No. The comparison reviewed for this article cites general TTB trade-practice rules, not a regulator decision finding Bottle Nexus in violation. A competitor’s characterization is not a regulatory determination. Readers should distinguish an allegation, a general statement of law and a company-specific finding.

Has Bottle Nexus been penalized by a regulator for operating unlawfully?

Bottle Nexus management confirms that, as of October 30, 2026, no state or other regulatory body has penalized Bottle Nexus for operating unlawfully.

Competition should be based on evidence

We consider unsupported suggestions of illegality an unfair way to compete. Brands deserve accurate company descriptions, clearly defined retailer networks and transparent fees. A provider making a specific regulatory allegation should identify the regulator, the decision and the conduct at issue. Linking to general rules is not a substitute for that evidence.

Vista Fulfillment Group serves a wider industry

Vista Fulfillment Group is an alcohol fulfillment business with operations in California, Texas and New York. Its public company history describes support for hundreds of brands and marketplaces and names ReserveBar and Flaviar among the marketplaces it has supported. Vista’s services extend beyond Bottle Nexus.

In July 2026, San Diego Business Journal described Vista Fulfillment Group as one of the largest ecommerce logistics companies powering alcohol brands and marketplaces nationwide. Vista’s February 2026 company announcement also identifies ReserveBar and Flaviar as platform partners alongside its work with Bottle Nexus.

A comparison that reduces this multistate fulfillment operation to “Vista, in California” gives brands an incomplete picture. Working with a fulfillment provider that serves other marketplaces does not make it an operation exclusive to Bottle Nexus.

Network access deserves an explanation

Bottle Nexus does not use Vista Fulfillment Group exclusively. We work with other retailer and fulfillment partners. AccelPay’s claim that all Bottle Nexus sales are routed through a single retailer is false. Naming one fulfillment relationship does not establish the full scope of our network. These are Bottle Nexus’s company statements; we are not publishing an independently audited retailer total in this article.

AccelPay’s published materials include Gopuff and BevMo in its promoted retail footprint. Its delivery page says instant orders are fulfilled through those networks. We have not independently verified the total location count or classified its contracts.

That does not make third-party access inherently invalid. It makes the counting method essential. A location accessed through a partner, a directly connected retailer and a store that actually stocks a particular bottle are not interchangeable units.

Imagine two hypothetical providers. One reports every location it can potentially reach through a delivery partner. The other reports only retailers directly connected to its order-routing technology. Comparing the totals without explaining their definitions can leave a brand with a false impression of its practical fulfillment choices.

The useful question is concrete: Which licensed retailer can fulfill this product to this customer, through which purchase path, today?

150 marketplaces. More ways for brands to reach customers.

AccelPay’s comparison describes Bottle Nexus as having “no consumer marketplace listed.” That leaves out a substantial part of our model. Bottle Nexus powers marketplace businesses and creator-led shops rather than operating a single Bottle Nexus-owned consumer marketplace.

Bottle Nexus powers 150 marketplaces, according to company management as of October 30, 2026. We also work with influencers, YouTubers and creators who build shops around their audiences. Our public creator page features Brewzle Picks and creator stories from Brewzle, Whiskey Bonded and The Bourbon Hunter.

For a brand, that creates opportunities to find relevant shops, audiences and promotional partners across the network. Our team can introduce brands to marketplaces and creators whose customers and interests fit their products. The 150 figure counts marketplaces powered by Bottle Nexus; it is separate from our 500-partner figure and is not a count of licensed retail fulfillment locations.

Owning a marketplace and powering a marketplace network are different business models. Neither a listing nor a large network number guarantees demand. Ask which shops are a fit, how products are selected, what promotion is available and how results will be measured. Listings, creator participation and promotional arrangements depend on fit, availability and agreed terms; placement across all 150 marketplaces is not automatic.

Gopuff’s technology is publicly offered

Gopuff markets a Shopify fulfillment app that can add instant delivery to an existing store. Its own documentation describes SKU matching and checks for product availability in the relevant delivery zone. Eligibility requires products to be sold through Gopuff’s platform.

This is publicly offered third-party infrastructure. Its existence does not prove the exact integration used by every commerce provider, nor does it make every store or product available to every brand. It does establish that brands should ask what the platform contributes, what the delivery provider supplies and what additional eligibility or fees apply.

A Bottle Nexus partner offers a visible delivery choice

On Brother’s Bond’s Regenerative Grain Bourbon page, shoppers see Add to cart and a separate DoorDash ordering option. Our public-page inspection also identified Bottle Nexus technology on that storefront.

The two paths coexist. The DoorDash link opens DoorDash, where product and address availability determine the next steps. This is evidence of a live public ordering option, not a completed delivery test or proof that DoorDash operates inside Bottle Nexus checkout.

A comparison that reduces the shopper’s choices to the primary storefront checkout misses that additional route. Equally, we would not count all DoorDash locations as directly integrated Bottle Nexus retailers.

AccelPay’s delivery page also reports live usage. We are not claiming its service is fictitious. We are asking for the same clarity from every provider: identify the service, distinguish the route and explain the availability.

500 partners. $0 core brand fees.

Bottle Nexus launched in 2022 and serves 500 partners, as confirmed by company management on October 30, 2026. Our September 3, 2026 company announcement reported reaching more than 500 active partners in less than three years. These figures describe platform partners, not retail fulfillment locations.

Our current core service gives brands buy buttons, shop creation, retailer routing and integrations for $0 in Bottle Nexus setup and monthly core platform fees. We choose a lean, retailer-funded model because brands should have more budget available for marketing, their products and their customers.

We believe value should be measured by what a platform delivers for a brand, not by its age or the size of its fixed fee. Brands decide where to invest the budget they retain. Custom services, third-party subscriptions and other selling costs remain separate.

Why our brand core service fee is $0

We choose to operate a lean technology business funded by the orders we facilitate for participating retailers. Those retailers pay Bottle Nexus a 10% platform commission on product sales only. Tax, shipping and other charges are excluded from the commission base.

For an illustrative order with $100 in product sales, the retailer-paid platform commission is $10. Adding tax or shipping does not increase that commission. This is an example of the platform fee, not a calculation of the retailer’s margin.

That revenue model supports our current $0 core service fee to brands for buy buttons, shop creation, retailer order routing and integrations. We believe brands should have more room in their budgets for the products and customer relationships they are building.

Custom websites and marketing work are scoped separately. Hosting, third-party subscriptions, product costs and delivery charges remain separate. See the full core-service scope.

Put fixed fees beside the services they buy

AccelPay lists setup from $1,000 and a monthly platform fee from $500 with a 12-month term. Those starting figures total $7,000 in first-year setup and monthly fees before discounts. Its published package also includes other services and eligible-brand benefits. Review the current terms.

The meaningful comparison is the value to your business, including the precise services, eligibility and costs. A higher fixed fee needs a business case. A $0 brand core fee also deserves a transparent explanation of who funds the platform. We have stated ours.

Who is actually selling the bottle?

Place an order and read your credit-card statement. Compare the charge description with the checkout disclosures, order confirmation and receipt. Ask the provider to identify the licensed seller, explain who processes the payment and controls the sale proceeds, and show how the transaction records connect the customer’s payment to that retailer.

AccelPay’s comparison page says the licensed retailer is the merchant of record. Brands should ask to see how that works in an actual order. The same transparency standard applies to Bottle Nexus. If the charge displays a brand or platform name, ask how it relates to the licensed seller and request supporting records.

New York Alcoholic Beverage Control Law §3 defines retail sales, retailers and sales. A network claim should lead to an identifiable seller and a documented transaction. If a provider cannot explain those details, resolve the gaps before committing your brand’s budget. A large location count does not answer the question of who actually sells your bottle. Showing the technology provider processed the payment does not either.

Five questions before you sign

  1. Define the network. Separate directly connected retailers, partner-network access and locations actively fulfilling orders.
  2. Check your inventory. Ask which locations carry your exact products now.
  3. Place an order. Read your statement. Compare the card charge with the checkout and receipt. Identify the licensed seller and ask for an explanation of the payment flow and any difference in names.
  4. Test the delivery promise. Of the locations advertised, which licensed retailer will actually sell and fulfill your product to the customer’s address? Ask where that retailer is identified in checkout and order records, and which records would let a state regulator trace the transaction. Verify stock, fees, cutoffs and responsibility for delivery issues. An unexplained total is a sales claim, not proof of fulfillment.
  5. Read the economics. Identify brand fees, retailer commissions, contract terms, custom work and third-party charges.

Bring your actual products and markets to the discussion. Ask for a demonstration of the routes available to your customers. Clear definitions and visible evidence make a stronger buying decision than an unexplained network total.

Research scope and sources

Company management confirmed the 2022 launch, 500-partner count, 150-marketplace count and regulatory penalty-history statement on October 30, 2026. These are company-supplied facts, not an independent audit or regulatory certification. The marketplace count does not promise product placement or sales across every marketplace. The penalty-history statement does not assert that there have never been inquiries, notices or investigations.

We inspected publicly accessible pages and purchase choices on October 30, 2026. We did not conduct transactions, audit retailer agreements or independently establish either platform’s active retailer count. A provider’s stated capability is distinguished from a visible ordering option and from a completed delivery. Prices, product availability and services may change.
